[est. after helping 500+ businesses recover millions]

Bookkeeping and business operations for small businesses.

We do two things. We handle your monthly bookkeeping so your numbers are always right. And we fix the operational systems in your business so things actually run the way they should. That's it.

02 / What we do

Two services. One goal: help your business run better.

business optimization

We design systems that make your business run better.

We look at how your business actually operates — your processes, your tools, your team workflows — and design systems that make everything run smoother.

— featured

Operational Process Design

We map out how your business actually runs — then design processes that eliminate bottlenecks and confusion.

Financial Strategy & CFO Advisory

Clear financial guidance so you can make decisions based on real numbers, not gut feeling.

Tech Stack & Automation

We audit your tools, cut what you don't need, and automate what you're doing manually.

Custom SOPs & Playbooks

Written documentation for every critical process — so nothing lives only in someone's head.

Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping that actually gets done right.

We handle your books every month. A real bookkeeper reviews everything — not just software.

Tax Preparation Support

Tax-ready books all year — your CPA gets everything they need.

[what sets us apart]

We're not like the others.
Here's how.

Most bookkeeping firms
  • We don't send you to a rotating team every month.
  • We don't lock you into 12-month contracts.
  • We don't bill by the hour for surprise fees.
  • We don't pretend software alone handles your books.
Recapture Group
  • One dedicated bookkeeper who actually knows your business.
  • Month-to-month. 30 days' notice. No hostage clauses.
  • Flat monthly pricing. Quoted upfront. No surprises.
  • Modern tools plus a human review every single month.
[what we believe]

Four things we believe —
strongly enough to build a company around.

/ 01

Bookkeeping software isn't bookkeeping.

QuickBooks is a good tool. It is not a bookkeeper. Auto-categorization is 80% right, which means 20% of your books are wrong. Someone has to catch the 20%.

/ 02

Systems beat hustle.

Your business shouldn't depend on who happens to be in the room. If the answer to "how do we do this" is in someone's head instead of a document, you have a problem we can fix.

/ 03

Founders should not be in QuickBooks.

If you started a business to do its books, you started a bookkeeping business. If you didn't, stop spending your weekends there.

/ 04

Clean books compound.

Messy books cost you three times: at tax time, in bad decisions, and in the moment you need a loan or sale and can't produce clean financials. The cheapest time to fix it was last year. The second cheapest is today.

Our story

We've been where you are.

Recapture Group was founded by Nathan Franco and Chaim Shneur. We started by helping 500+ small businesses claim tax credits through ERC Funding and RecaptureSETC.

Along the way, we kept seeing the same two problems everywhere: businesses with no systems — everyone doing things differently, nothing documented, processes breaking every time someone was out — and messy books that made it impossible to make good decisions.

So we decided to fix both. Recapture Group designs the operational systems that make your business run better, and handles your bookkeeping so your numbers are always right.

A lot of our clients are Jewish-owned businesses and Jewish nonprofits — shuls, Chabad houses, day schools, and community organizations. See how we serve the community →

05 / How we work

No mystery. Here's
exactly what you get.

From first call to monthly rhythm — a week-by-week breakdown of what working with us actually looks like.

[Week 0]
30 minutes

The strategy call.

Before we propose anything, we learn about your business. What you sell, who runs what, where things fall through the cracks. By the end of the call you'll know if we can actually help you — and if we can't, we'll tell you. No pitch deck. No pressure.

You leave with
A straight answer on fit.
[Weeks 1–2]
Done remotely

The audit.

We connect to your accounts, review the last six months, and map how your business actually operates — not how the org chart says it does. You get a written report covering the state of your books, the gaps in your operations, and our recommended priorities.

You leave with
A written assessment you keep.
[Weeks 3–4]
Varies by scope

The build.

For bookkeeping: we get your books current, fix what's broken, and establish the monthly rhythm. For optimization: we design the SOPs, set up the tools, and train your team on the new workflow. We don't hand off unfinished work.

You leave with
Clean books. Systems in place.
[Month 2+]
Every month, on the same cadence

The rhythm.

Your dedicated bookkeeper closes your books by the 15th. Financial statements land in your inbox. Your optimization engagement continues with monthly check-ins, quarterly reviews, and live-fire improvements as your business evolves.

You leave with
Reports by the 15th. Questions answered same day.
[Tools we work in]

Whatever stack you use, we already know it.

We don't force you to switch tools. We plug into whatever you're already running — accounting, payroll, payments, bill pay, e-commerce, operations. If you're on something we haven't listed, we probably still know it.

What Our Clients Say

Trusted by small businesses.

We were growing faster than our systems could handle. Nathan and Chaim came in, cleaned up the books, and then helped us build the processes we actually needed to scale. They're not just bookkeepers — they think like operators. I trust them completely.

Berri Wolosow

CEO, Bhired

Retail bookkeeping is its own kind of hell — vendors, inventory, payment processors, returns across three sales channels. Recapture handles all of it, and the monthly reports actually tell me which products are profitable. I wish I'd found them years ago.

Zevi Karp

Everything But the Baby

Running a nonprofit means restricted funds, donor reports, and a board that needs the numbers to be exact. Recapture rebuilt our fund accounting from the ground up. Our board meetings went from confusing to clear, and our annual audit got noticeably easier. They understand how Jewish education organizations actually operate.
